There is the potential for light snow and ice accumulating, and the potential for black ice.

Rain will become mixed with snow and transition to snow Friday night and early Saturday.

In Dallas and Hiram, the weather service is predicting accumulations of less than an inch of snow. Rain will begin to mix with snow around 7 p.m. The snow will likely move out of the area overnight.

The weather service stresses the potential for black ice as temperatures drop.

Winds may gust up to 35 mph beginning Friday evening, according to the weather service.
