Veterans Day 2019: What's Open, Closed In Paulding County

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military.

The holiday, originally Armistice Day, celebrated the end of World War I, but was eventually converted in the United States to celebrate all of the nation's veterans.

Most banks will be closed, USA Today reports, but TD Bank will be open. Call ahead to be sure.

Most grocery stores, retail stores and restaurants will remain open, and some are offering discounts for the holiday.
