Repairs to State Route 6 in Paulding County will continue this week.
The pavement is deteriorating, and Georgia Department of Transportation crews have been working from 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting, to fix the problem.
The repairs are "intended to guard against pavement failure along the edges due to the action of traffic and the loss of edge support that occurs due to the presence of water, aggressive-growth vegetation, and wind from either traffic or the atmosphere," DOT spokesman Mohamed Arafa said in a statement this morning.
