Restaurant/Bar Proposed for Abandoned Scott Boulevard Car Dealership

Residents in the Scott Boulevard area of Decatur are invited to attend a community hearing hosted by developers looking to convert a long-abandoned car dealership into a restaurant/bar concept.
The Medlock Area Neighborhood Association reports that Restaurants Consulting Group is looking to secure a special land use permit for the property at 1744 Scott Blvd. in order to change the height of the structure to three stories and begin work on transforming the property into a restaurant, bar, or banquet facility.

Before submitting their proposal, the developers want to meet with the community at a hearing on Monday, Aug. 31 at the property in question. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m., according to the neighborhood association.
