Alexander Football Listed in State Rankings

Alexander High School was among the top 15 Class 5A football teams ranked in the state composite rankings, released this week by Georgia High School Football Daily.

The Cougars, who open their season this Friday at home against Douglas County High, were tied for 14th in the rankings, which factor in rankings from six different sources.

Alexander was ranked by one of the sources -- No. 9 by MaxPreps.

Douglas County is 0-1 after last week’s 29-28 loss to New Manchester.
