Arbor Place Reopens Friday With Coronavirus Safety Measures

Soon after Simon Properties reportedly decided to reopen its Georgia malls, Arbor Place followed suit and announced it would reopen Friday.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Arbor Place Mall will reopen Friday, although with limited hours and other restrictions to limit the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. Chattanooga-based CBL & Associates Properties, owner of Arbor Place, made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on the mall’s website.

CBL’s move to reopen Arbor Place comes just after Simon Properties was reported also to be opening its Georgia malls on Friday. Simon owns seven properties in the state, including Lenox Square and the Mall of Georgia.

Arbor Place spokesperson Stacey Keating said that CBL made its decision Tuesday because of planning and discussions within the company, not because Simon also had planned to reopen.
