Chapel Hill High Band To Perform Monday
The band will play songs of Stevie Wonder and donations will be accepted for Douglas County schools' Buckets of Care for hurricane victims.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — With fall officially upon us, the Chapel Hill High School Panther Band will give a free performance Monday — its last at home before competitive band season begins.
The show will be at 6:30 p.m. at Panther Stadium, 4899 Chapel Hill Rd., Douglasville. It will include performances by Chapel Hill's cheerleaders, the ROTC color guard and selections from the band's 2017 competitive program, "World of Wonder: The Music of Stevie Wonder."
"Since I took the position as director of bands at Chapel Hill High School this year, I’ve been committed to continuing the process of building a better band here at Chapel Hill," said director Nick Viviano. "I feel strongly that giving back to and working with the Douglas County community is a vital part of our mission."

Donations will be accepted at the event to fund relief efforts for hurricane victims in south Georgia and Florida. All donated funds will be used to purchase supplies for "Buckets of Care for Flood Victims," a project supported by all schools in Douglas County.
The buckets of supplies will be used by volunteers and homeowners to "mud out: homes that have been flooded. Audience members also may purchase dinner from Chick-fil-A at the event, with a portion of the proceeds from food purchases also going toward the "Buckets of Care" fund.
