DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA -- The Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department through the Board of Commissioners will hold a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the latest Disc Golf Course in Douglas County, Georgia at Dog River Park. The ceremony will be held Saturday, March 30, at 9 a.m.

The course is located at Dog River Park, behind the Dog River Library, at 6100 Highway 5.

The Dog River Disc Golf Course is described to be one of the toughest but fairest disc golf courses in the country. The course is open to the public. Following the ribbon cutting event will be a disc golf tournament sponsored by the Douglas County Disc Golf Association.
