Douglas County Courthouse To Hold Youth Art Month Reception
The art reception features artwork by K-12 Students in Douglas County.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – The Douglas County Communications and Community Relations Department through the Board of Commissioners will be hosting an art reception for the annual Youth Art Month exhibit March 5. This event features artwork by K-12 Students in Douglas County, and will be held from 4:30 - 6 p.m. on the third floor of the Courthouse Art Gallery Exhibit area.
Youth Art Month is an annual national event in March that highlights the importance of art education, and encourages the public to support quality art programs in schools. For Douglas County schools this month brings attention to the value of arts education, and how it helps to influence the next generations. This exhibit gives students a chance to display their art, and also gives teachers recognition for the hard work they have done to encourage their students.
Through this event the public is given the chance to view the talent of the students in this county, and allows them to see the importance visual arts plays in student’s development. The Youth Art Month exhibit opens with the reception on March 5, and will be on display until March 28.
