Douglas County Early Voting Starts In March

Douglas County early voting is coming up. Here's where and when to get it done early.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — Early voting for Douglas County residents kicks off in March, according to a release from the county's Board of Commissioners.

The release says early voting will start on March 2 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Early voters can cast ballots at the Douglas County Courthouse located at 8700 Hospital Dr.

Early voting at the courthouse will run for three weeks, Elections Director Milton Kidd said in the release, and the Woodie Fite Senior Center located nearby at 8750 Dorris Rd. will be open for early voting from March 9 to 13.

Four more sites will be open for early voting between March 16 and 20:

  • Boundary Waters Aquatic Center
  • Dog River library
  • Deer Lick Park
  • Old Douglas County Courthouse at 6754 Church St.

Anybody who needs a ride to a polling location is welcome to call the courthouse at 770-920-7213 between 8 a.m .and 5 p.m. with 24 hours notices.

"To make voting convenient for people who work during the week, we will have Saturday early voting from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on March 14th here at the Douglas County Courthouse, located 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Ga." Rick Martin, Director of Communications and Community Relations, said in the release.

"Voters can always access full voter information including their sample ballot, their absentee ballot request form, and their election day voting precinct by going to www.mvp.sos.ga.gov," Milton Kidd, Director of Elections and Voter Registration, said in the release.
