Fairburn/Hwy 92 Facelift To Begin Friday In Douglas County

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- A facelift for Fairburn/Hwy 92 is set to begin Friday In Douglas County, weather permitting. The scope of the work includes lawn maintenance such as mowing, weed eating and edging where grass has overgrown sides of medians and mulching. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution if they see workers along the roadway doing the work.

“This is a significant beautification milestone along this highly traveled corridor in Douglas County,” said Dr. Romona Jackson Jones, chairman of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners

Most recently, County Administrator Mark Teal and Chairman Jones collaborated with Georgia Department of Transportation to seek permission to enhance the medians along Fairburn Rd/State Highway 92 starting across I-20 down to the Route 166 intersection.
