Fake Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation Of Douglas County High School
An anonymous — and apparently fake —bomb threat called in to 911 forced students and staff to briefly evacuate Douglas County High School.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — An anonymous — and apparently fake — bomb threat called in to 911 forced students and staff to briefly evacuate Douglas County High School Wednesday morning while police investigated.
“It is over,” Douglas County schools spokesperson Portia Lake wrote in an email to Patch. “It didn’t last long.”
The school system sent the following message to parents:

“A full search of Douglas County High School is complete and all students have returned to campus following a bomb threat. Douglas County School System Police Department School Resource Officers thoroughly searched the campus and found no evidence of a credible threat.
“Enhanced safety and security resources will remain in place for the remainder of the day.”
