Football Signing Day: 2 Players Will Be UWG Wolves Next Year
Local grid iron standouts Marzavion Dix and Spencer Myers will be University of West Georgia Wolves next season.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Marzavion Dix, a linebacker for Lithia Springs High School, announced his plans Wednesday to play football for the University of West Georgia after graduation. The 6’3 230 pound senior was previously a Blue Grey All American and made the 2017 Georgia Sports Writers Association All-State football team.
Dix will join Spencer Myers, 6' 4," 270 pound outside linebacker from Alexander High School Douglasville who has also signed to be a UWG Wolf next year. Myers is a massive offensive lineman joining the Wolves after playing under head coach Matt Combs. He had nine pancake blocks in six games played as a senior in 2017, was named First Team All-Region 5-AAAAAA as a junior and helped pave the way for 16 total wins in his junior and senior campaigns.
