Coming Up: Free Douglasville CVB Family Reunion Workshop
The Douglasville CVB will host a Family Reunion Workshop on Saturday March 14, 2015 from 10am to 12pm at the Douglasville Conference Center.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Douglasville will host a Family Reunion Workshop on Saturday March 14, 2015 from 10am to 12pm at the Douglasville Conference Center. The workshop is designed to assist families with organizing, planning and hosting a fun and successful family reunion.
The travel industry has experienced huge growth in family reunion travel plans recently. Leisure travelers name it as one of the primary reasons for taking one or more trips during the past year. And as family reunions continue to grow in importance, many travelers will choose to use vacation travel to bond with extended family members. With this in mind, the CVB will host this family reunion workshop to lend a helping hand to families who would like to facilitate a fun, energetic, and successful family reunion.
Representatives from the catering, transportation, lodging, and recreational industries will be on hand during the workshop to provide attendees with expert advice on how to plan and service the needs of a family reunion. The workshop moderator, an experienced Events and Family Reunion Planner, will move the event through a series of topics ranging from how to accommodate traveling guests, what activities are available in the area, complimentary services available by the CVB, and all the tips and ideas needed to host a successful family reunion.

βFamily Reunions have become much more than a picnic in the parkβ, says Chantel Francois, CVB Executive Director. βWe believe people want to spend quality time with their extended families and have a good, fun time doing just that. So we have designed a full service workshop to assist families with their planning needs. We have even included a fun way for families to extend the reunion and stay in touch throughout the year.β The workshop is just one of the many services the CVB of Douglasville provides our local community.
Anyone who may be considering planning a family reunion will want to register for this event and can do so by contacting Kristen Tate at 678-449-3178, or tatek@douglasvillega.gov, or stop by the Welcome Center in downtown Douglasville, Monday-Friday 8-5.
