This will be the first full week of fall 2017. See what the weather in metro Atlanta will be like.

ATLANTA, GA — It's a fact — this coming work week will mark the first full week of fall in 2017.

But if you're harboring thoughts of sipping warm cider, all bundled up against the crisp, cool air of autumn, we've got some bad news for you. This week in the Atlanta area is going to feel a lot like summer never ended.

In fact, there are a couple of days this week when forecasters say we could flirt with a high temperature of 90 degrees. One key difference, though, is that, at least for now, those Georgia summer showers and thunderstorms appear to be a thing of the past. There's not a drop of rain in the area forecast this work week. Just warm temperatures that will let us leave the flannels and sweaters all packed up for another week.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Thursday night, partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Partly cloudy Friday night, with a low around 62.
