Harvester Students Win Regional Art Competition

Seven students will compete at the state competition in Macon on October 1

On September 23, the Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools (GAPPS) held its annual regional art competitions throughout the state. Harvester submitted eleven pieces of student artwork and seven of those earned ribbons, qualifying them for the state competition in Macon, GA on October 1, 2020

The following students will represent Harvester Christian Academy at next week’s state competition:

Head of School Rick Johnson said, β€œMrs. Billips is adept at developing our students’ God-given talents. She hones their artistic skills and encourages them to compete and seek leadership positions wherever those opportunities exist. We are blessed beyond measure to have her among our faculty.”

β€œWe are proud of each of these students and grateful for the talent and leadership of Chaney Billips, our art teacher,” said Michelle Berry, HCA’s college advisor.

Harvester Christian Academy is a private school serving pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade students in Douglasville, Georgia. Harvester Christian Academy’s seniors garner over $2 million in college scholarships annually and 100% are accepted into college. With art and STEM courses, competitive sports for every age, music, drama, physical education, over a dozen clubs, AP courses and a dual-enrollment initiative, the school carries out its mission of β€œtraining minds to lead and hearts to serve."
