Hoops Star Asia Durr Named Parade Player of the Year
The Douglasville native, who starred at St. Pius X in Atlanta, was named the top player in the U.S.

Asia Durr, the star basketball player from Douglasville who is the all-time leading scorer at St. Pius High School in Atlanta, has been named Parade magazine’s 2015 national girls high school player of the year.

Durr, who will attend the University of Louisville, scored 2,764 points at St. Pius, the most for any male or female player at the school.
She is a two-time Georgia Miss Basketball who averaged 33.3 points and seven rebounds per game, Parade said

She has played for Team USA and was the Most Valuable Player at the 2013 Women’s FIBA America’s Cup.
Durr was among 30 girls nationwide named to the Parade All-American team.
