I-20 Lane Closures Continue In Douglas County

I-20 lane closures will continue in Douglas County; expect traffic delays.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA -- Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close two westbound lanes and a shoulder on I-20 for patching in preparation for deep milling, inlay and resurfacing on the interstate. These activities are needed to improve the deteriorating condition of the roadway.

This will affect between Lee Rd, exit 41, and Bill Arp Rd, exit 34.

Monday, May 13, through Sunday, May 19.

Weather permitting, continuous lanes closures on the dates/ times as follows:

  • Monday, May 13 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Tuesday
  • Tuesday, May 14 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Wednesday
  • Wednesday, May 15 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Thursday
  • Thursday, May 16 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday
  • Friday, May 17 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday
  • Saturday, May 18 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday

Lane closures are needed to help ensure safety for drivers and workers, as large equipment and frequent truck movements are needed on-site for these activities. Motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds while traveling through the work zone.
