Man Found Shot In Douglas County Neighborhood: Reports

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — Police are investigating the scene outside a Douglas County neighborhood where a man in his 20s was found shot early Wednesday, according to media reports. The man later died at a local hospital, said the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies found the man at about 2:30 a.m. lying in a traffic circle outside the Anneewakee Trails Community, according to media reports. He was taken to the local hospital.

Deputies diverted traffic from the area Wednesday morning as detectives processed the crime scene, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The victim's name has not been released. A sheriff's spokesman said detectives are working leads in the case, according to the AJC.
