Jo Ann Jordan, age 59, of Winston passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015.

She was born on June 24, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Paul Chandler and the late Emma Hunter Chandler. Jo Ann was a people-loving person with a servant’s spirit. She especially loved her children and grandchildren. She worked for several area restaurants including Michelle’s in Douglasville and Courtney’s in Lithia Springs. She was loved by her guests and was frequently the requested server of many. She was Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Essie Plunkett and brother, Junior Chandler.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Jordan of Lithia Springs; Daughter, Missy Jordan of Winston; sisters, Polly Potate and husband Larry of Temple, Grace Harrelson of Carrollton; brothers, Neil Chandler of Fulton County, Brant Chandler and wife Marie of Winston, Raymond Chandler and wife Melanie of Griffin; brother in law and sister in law, Chester and Barbara Plunkett, sister in law, Laura Chandler; grandchildren, Ayden Jordan, Evyn Jordan and Blayne Hart; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Brother Justin Earlenbusch officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM.
In accordance with her wishes her body was cremated.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Jo Ann Jordan Memorial Fund c/o Hightower’s Memorial Chapel.
