Larry Kenneth Gaston, age 80 of Douglasville, passed away, Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was born, November 28, 1934 in Douglasville to the late Calton Gaston and Bernice Stamps Gaston.
He was self-employed for 20 years as a commercial and general carpenter, and was a member of the Local 225 Carpenter’s Union.

Having been a carpenter for 50 years, he built homes for both of his children and repaired lawn mowers for his friends for about 20 years. He was such a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was always there for his family and friends and will be missed by so many.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law: Donna Gaston McClure and Doug McClure; son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Reita Gaston, all of Douglasville; grandchildren: Andrew Gaston and Megan, Jessica Perrien and Cody, Jake McClure; great grandchild: Briley Gaston; sister-in-law: Carolyn Gaston, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Frankie Vaughan Gaston; son, Danny Gaston; brother & sister-in-law: Gary and Helen Hollis Gaston and brother, Dallas Gaston.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Minister Mike Mallory officiating. Interment will follow in the Cold Springs Cemetery, Winston, with Andrew Gaston, Jake McClure, Cody Perrien, Gene Willis, Jesse Camp, and Gary Gene Gaston serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 2-9 PM and Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM.
