More Rain On the Way: Georgia Weather Forecast
Rain is expected to begin again Wednesday afternoon and linger through the rest of the work week, according to the National Weather Service.

"Light to occasionally moderate rain will continue over north and central Georgia through Friday, then end from the west Friday night," according to the weather service statement.

Total rainfall amounts will range from 1 to 1.5 inches over much of central Georgia, and less than 1 inch elsewhere.

The current regional forecast from the NWS:
Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of light rain, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 52. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Thursday: A chance of light rain before 9am, then rain likely after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 63. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 57. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71.
