Paving Work To Begin on Chapel Hill Road

The work is scheduled to begin Sunday and run through the end of the month.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Paving work is scheduled to begin this weekend on Chapel Hill Road near Douglasville.

The resurfacing project is set to begin on Sunday and continue through the end of the month.

The work will be going on between Elizabeth Road and State Route 166.

The paving will be done at night, from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. every Sunday through Thursday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

County officials are urging motorists to avoid the area if they can during the construction, and to expect delays if they can't. Partial lane closures will be required and flaggers will be on the site to direct traffic.
