Road Closure Scheduled on Timmons Circle

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Part of Timmons Circle, which is just north of Interstate 20 between Douglasville and Villa Rica, will be shut down as early as Friday for a construction project.

Crews will be installing a natural gas pipeline on the road between Tyson Road and Nalley Road.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the work may begin either Friday or Monday. It is expected to take about two days to complete.

Message boards and detour signs will be placed in the area to direct traffic. Motorists should expect delays and avoid the ares during this time if possible.
