Special Needs Kids Get Free Visit, Photo With Douglasville Bunny

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- The Bunny welcomes children of all ages and abilities. In collaboration with WellStar Douglas Hospital, Bunny Cares is a compassionate, sensory-friendly event allows families with children within every spectrum of special needs to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with the Easter Bunny. Arbor Place will provide a comforting environment prior to public hours. WellStar will be on site with Sensory Boxes for families waiting. Accommodations are made to support the sensory, physical, and developmental needs of this special audience.

Bunny Cares is held in partnership with Autism Speaks and WellStar Douglas Hospital, dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. They do this through advocacy and support; there will also be Easter themed sensory stations for children to play with for therapy.

The event will take place April 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. and take place between Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Visits with The Bunny are free. Space is limited and families are encouraged to reserve a time in advance. Families can RSVP through the Event Brite link here. Keepsake Easter photo packages will be available for purchase during the event.
