Tell Douglas County When You Find A Pothole

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA - There’s a way the community can help the county find some of the worst potholes in the county.

“We have many ways citizens can contact us if they want to report seeing a pothole somewhere,” Chairman Jones said. “We want to make it easy for motorists to alert us to poor road conditions they come across driving through Douglas County.”

The Douglas County Communications Department wants to remind everyone it is against the law to text and drive, so wait to contact us when you’re not driving.

During winter weather season, potholes often are created due to freezing weather conditions combined with fluctuating temperatures along with wear and tear from constant traffic.

The Douglas County Department of Transportation staff is working feverishly to patch potholes around the County when they can.

“We are receiving phone calls from citizens about potholes needing to be repaired, but we could use the help of citizens letting us know of the larger ones they might come across,” said Rick Martin, director of Communications and Community Relations Rick Martin.
