Thunderstorms, Winter Weather Possible In Douglasville This Week

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglasville residents are warned to be wary of thunderstorms and wintry precipitation this week, according to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service.

The area will see a slight chance of thunderstorms between Wednesday and Thursday nights. Winter weather could also come to the area over the weekend, but the forecast remains uncertain, according to the NWS.

Here's what to expect this week in Douglasville:

• Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of rain is expected despite partly sunny skies with a high temperature near 63 degrees. Temperatures will fall to around 46 overnight.
• Wednesday: Chances of rain on Wednesday increase to 30 percent as mostly cloudy skies prevail and temperatures climb to around 60 degrees. During overnight hours, showers could give way to a thunderstorm after 8 p.m. Temperatures will drop to around 50 degrees.
• Thursday: Showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm continue Thursday as temperatures climb to 62 degrees. Temperatures will drop to around 45 degrees overnight as showers continue.
• Friday: Precipitation will taper off throughout the day as temperatures climb to 56 degrees. A slight possibility of showers will remain overnight as temperatures drop to around 38 degrees.
• Weekend: Slight chances of showers will continue on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures ranging from a low of 31 to a high of 46. Slight chances of winter weather are also possible during the weekend, according to the NWS.
