Weekend Weather: Rain Could Be Heavy at Times

The National Weather Service said rainy conditions are expected throughout the weekend in Douglas County.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City is calling for showers through the weekend, and the rain could be heavy at times.

Rain chances are 70 percent Saturday and 50 percent Sunday. Highs will be in the 60s.

  • Saturday: Showers likely, mainly before 2pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Cloudy, with a high near 61. North wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Saturday night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 57. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
  • Sunday: A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 67. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Sunday night: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
