Another L.E.A.D. Class Graduates in Duluth
The program offers participants the chance to build leadership skills.

A program aimed at giving Duluth residents skills in civic leadership has graduated another class.
According to a City of Duluth news release, the sixth class of L.E.A.D. received graduation certificates on Oct. 29 from Mayor Nancy Harris. L.E.A.D. -- for Learn, Engage and Advace Duluth -- offers a method for citizens to become knowledgeable about city operations, services, and the overall essential functions of city government. Also, it offers an interactive learning experience, which includes information about city services, programs and responsibilities.
Council member Marsha Anderson Bomar, one of the program's founders, said in the release, “I am so pleased with the caliber of people who showed interest in this program and have a commitment to the continuous improvement of our great city. The future is very bright with these new future leaders.”
The L.E.A.D. Academy will be held yearly in the fall and is a six-week program, city officials said. For more information, contact Alisa Williams at 678-475-3506 or awilliams@duluthga.net.
