Back to School: City Hosting Supply Drive, Viewing of 'Despicable Me'

The city of Duluth is hosting "Flicks on the Bricks" and a special back-to-school fundraiser this week, and the community is invited.

The event takes place 4 p.m.-10:30 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 2, on the Duluth Town Green. There will be large inflatables, face painting, and a showing of "Despicable Me" on a huge screen, according to the city website.

Community members are encouraged to bring school supplies to donate to children in need. For each school supply donated, children present will receive a coupon towards an inflatable ticket, up to five coupons available per child.

Citizens may also drop of school supplies the following week at Duluth City Hall.
