Burned Body Found Near Gwinnett Place Was Murder Victim: Police

DULUTH, GA — Gwinnett County Police said Tuesday that a burned body found near Gwinnett Place Mall appears to be a murder victim.

The body was found Monday morning on a wooded trail near the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and West Liddell Road.

Gwinnett Police said they believe the body appears to have been shot at least once.

Investigators are still working to confirm the dead person's identity.
