Caught On Camera: Purse Snatched From Car In Duluth

Gwinnett County police are asking for the public's help identifying the man spotted entering a car on a dash camera.

DULUTH, GA — Police in Gwinnett are asking for the public's help identifying a man seen on dash camera footage breaking into a car and stealing a purse in the Duluth area.

According to a statement from police, the man was seen around 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 16 using a tool to break into a Ford SUV in a parking lot at 3850 Venture Drive.

Police said a white purse and its contents were stolen from the Ford.

The owner of the ford's dash camera, which had both forward- and rear-facing cameras, caught the act on tape, including clear images of the suspect's face.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Hispanic man with a short-trimmed beard and black hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey jacket, grey sweatpants, black and white sneakers and a blacked-out Atlanta Braves ball cap with a reflective sticker on the bill,

Tipsters can receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case through Crime Stoppers.
