Contact Center Business to Bring 300 Jobs to Duluth

VetConnexx will locate within an opportunity zone.

A business that specializes in hiring military veterans for customer contact jobs has announced that it will bring hundreds of jobs to the Duluth area.

VetConnexx, based in Atlanta, announced Monday that it will bring about 300 jobs to a customer service contact center in the Duluth area. The announcement was made in conjunction with the Economic Development unit of the Gwinnett Chamber.

Company co-founder and CEO Larry Ellis said in a news release, “We are excited to announce Gwinnett County as the home of our third location in the VetConnexx service offering. We believe this is a thriving community that will enable us to continue providing jobs for veterans, as well as offering excellent support services to our clients.”

The facility will be located at 3100 Breckenridge Blvd., Suite 200. At 30,987 square feet, the facility is designed for 300 agents and equipped to house more than 500 people.

The site puts VetConnexx within the Greater Gwinnett Place Opportunity Zone, the newest incentive zone in the Gwinnett Place area. An opportunity zone allows businesses located within its boundaries to enjoy the waiver and abatement or exemption of certain taxes, while promoting additional investment into the community, the release said.

According to its website, VetConnexx provides customer service to Fortune 500 companies while providing returning and disabled veterans with meaningful post-deployment jobs.
