Duluth School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

DULUTH, GA — The first day of school in Duluth is August 6 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Gwinnett County School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 12/18-12/20: High School Early Release for Exams
• 12/20: End of First Semester
• 12/21-12/31: Winter Recess, No School

January

• 1/3: Students Return, Beginning of Second Semester
• 1/21: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, No School

February

• 2/15: Student and Staff Holiday, No School
• 2/18: Student Holiday, No School
• 2/20-2/21: Early Release Grades K-8

March

• 3/29: Student and Staff Holiday, No School

April

• 4/1-4/5: Spring Break, No School

• 5/20-5/22: High School Early Release for Exams
