Duluth Woman Killed In Crash At Barber Motorsports Park In AL

A 23-year-old woman, from Duluth, was killed during a weekend riding event at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama.

BIRMINGHAM, AL -- A 23-year-old Duluth woman was killed Saturday during a riding event at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Mackenzie Podo, an avid rider from Duluth.

Authorities said Podo lost control of her motorcycle on the track just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday, but additional information on the crash was not released.

Podo was taken to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 10:55 a.m.
