UPDATE: When Will GCPS Snow Makeup Day Be?
Classes have been cancelled for Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Updated Jan. 29:Â Gwinnett County Public Schools has not announced when students will make up the class day lost to weather on Jan. 28.
The next available "snow make-up day" is Friday, March 14, according to the 2013-14 calendar.
Updated 5:46 p.m.:Â Gwinnett County Schools has posted the following statement on Facebook:
GCPS will be closed on Wed., Jan. 29 due to inclement weather.
Updated 1:52 p.m.: Duluth City Hall closed as of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. City offices were to reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 29), according to an announcement.
Updated 12:42 p.m.:Â Gwinnett County Schools has posted the following statement on Facebook:
All Gwinnett County Public Schools' afterschool and evening activities are cancelled for tonight.

GCPS is having school today. Leaders continue to monitor the weather and road conditions. If there is a decision regarding the school day or afterschool activities, we will post it here, on the website, and notify metro news media outlets.
Original post, 6:16 a.m.:Â Duluth Public Works officials are prepared for the snow that is expected to arrive at mid-morning Tuesday (Jan. 28).
Public Works Director Audrey Turner said Monday that workers will be on 12-hour shifts for the severe weather that is forecast. "Our trucks are loaded," Turner said at a City Council work session.
A time breakdown on weather.com calls for "flurries" to begin about 11 a.m. in the Duluth area. That changes to "snow shower" about 3 p.m., and those conditions are expected to last through the evening.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Gwinnett County, beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. That warning also calls for snow, with accumulation of up to 2 inches.
Also, the warning carries the following advisory:
SNOW COVERED ROADS WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.
As of 6 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 28), Gwinnett County Public Schools were holding classes as usual.
