North American Properties and its branding partner Imbibe have spent months researching the market, interviewing residents, spending time in the community and curating an experience unique to Gwinnett, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.

“Gwinnett is an incredibly diverse place with rich history and culture, amazing schools, natural beauty, a mature and growing business district and an established source of entertainment through Infinite Energy Center,” said Liz Gillespie, partner and vice president of marketing at North American Properties. “At Revel, guests will come to celebrate long before the curtains rise to hours after the final encore. This carefully curated destination will be vibrant, photo-worthy and meaningful for the Gwinnett community.”

Infinite Energy Center, which includes a thriving arena, convention center and performing arts center, saw over one million attendees in 2016. Billboard also recently named Infinite Energy Center as one of the top ten Arena Power Players in 2017. North American Properties sees an incredible opportunity to activate, program and curate a merchandise mix that will enhance the existing entertainment experience and enrich the quality of life for neighbors and visitors alike.

Partner and senior vice president of retail leasing at North American Properties David Weinert said, “At Revel, great food and great entertainment will intersect to create street-level energy and vibrant experiences that amplify life in Gwinnett. We envision a compelling critical mass of unique to market retailers delivering a synergistic merchandising mix seamlessly integrated with the tremendous experiential destination that already exists.”

The project’s design, merchandise mix, event programming and activations will be guided by the following five principles:

  • Festive: The destination will be bright, animated and full of activity and energy.
  • Welcoming: Guests will feel carefree and breezy. They will leave worries behind as they enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Vibrant: A curated mix of uses will create an energy curve, while Revel’s Concierge and management team deliver unexpected surprise and delight moments on weekdays and weekends, day and night.
  • Diverse: The project will be an inclusive, cultural place that celebrates variety and diversity.
  • Hub of Activity: It will be a central gathering place, buzzing with activity and people from near and far.

To bring this vision to life, North American Properties has assembled the world class team that collaborated on the award-winning Avalon community in Alpharetta. Wakefield Beasley is the master architect. Site Solutions is the landscape architect. Kimley-Horn is the civil engineer.

“From the beginning, our vision was to create and execute a world class facility, working collaboratively with our partners to develop a unique destination for Gwinnett County,” said Preston Williams, CEO of the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau. “North American Properties was chosen not only for its ability to create, develop and market a successful mixed-use development, but most importantly, to build a destination that will engage and entice both our residents and our visitors, creating a ‘downtown’ for Gwinnett, and further activating the Infinite Energy Center convention district as a live, work, play community.”

North American Properties invites the community to attend the Partnership Gwinnett Economic Development Breakfast to learn more about the sparkling new destination, and help co-author the experience.
