Eddie Owen Presents: The Chuck McDowell Songwriter Series
Eddie Owen Presents honors Chuck McDowell's love of songwriting by continuing their monthly Songwriters' round in his name, starting 8/30.

Louisiana born, Georgia raised, Chuck McDowell (of ESOEBO) is an award winning singer-songwriter and entertainer with a reputation in songwriting circles around the country as being remarkably prolific. Together, Chuck McDowell and Eddie Owen (of Eddie Owen Presents @ Red Clay Music Foundry) brought to fruition a brainchild which they called The EOP Songwriters' Series. The goal was to introduce some very good – and possibly previously unknown – songwriters to the world by bringing them all together on the Red Clay stage for a songwriters’ round of music and storytelling that was hosted by Chuck. The songwriter series gained its following and grew to success, and when Chuck inevitably passed, it was his wish that the series would continue.
Sharing Chuck's passion for storytelling through music, Eddie naturally agreed to continue the series, and though Chuck can no longer host the event himself, Eddie Owen Presents has given the Songwriters’ Series Chuck's name to honor of his life, his passion for music, his skill for storytelling, and his love for other artists. The Chuck McDowell Songwriter Series carries the same original goal and is a songwriters’ round made up of three singer-songwriters.
The Chuck McDowell Songwriter Series on Friday, August 30th at 8pm will be featuring Wyatt Edmondson, Sarah Zúñiga, and Julie Gribble.

Wyatt Edmondson is sonically Nashville and soulfully Alabama. He is an exciting new voice making waves in musical storytelling. An Alabama native, Edmondson is a folk-rock singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. With two strongly praised demo projects under his belt and a wide array of shows across the southeast, Wyatt hasn’t looked back since moving to Nashville.
Edmondson’s alluring vocals and elegant songwriting make for a powerfully intriguing troubadour full of talent, passion and unapologetic honesty. Captivating grooves like his first radio single “The Way You Move” and narrative love song “Lovers Lake” proves Wyatt’s musical canvas is deeply layered. Whether in the studio or on stage, each performance sparks intense emotion and makes for a compelling experience that is heartfelt, memorable and purely Wyatt Edmondson.

Sarah Zúñiga is a New York born singer-songwriter and guitarist who has made Athens, Georgia her home. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in International Affairs, spending her senior year abroad at The University of Oxford in England, this "guitarist serves up seven pleasantly crafted nuggets of melodic folk-pop that rise above typical coffeehouse fodder thanks to Zúñiga's strong voice and thoughtful arrangements," as reviewed by the prestigious Athens' Flagpole Newspaper on Zúñiga's debut album, Someday Soon.
As an Ecuadorian and Nicaraguan singer- songwriter, Sarah Zúniga's music is like listening to a fun mix tape compiled of deep-felt and catchy folk-rock, and Latin tunes.
Julie Gribble is a Duluth-based singer-songwriter and actress. Gribble has performed on The Late Show with Craig Ferguson and The Tyra Banks Show. Julie has a new album out called “WHAT IF” and the music video for the song “EASY” has been nominated in the 2019 Myrtle Beach International Film Festival.
During the Chuck McDowell Songwriter Series on Friday, August 30th at 8pm, all three of these singer-songwriters will share the Red Clay stage to alternate sharing their best songs and some of the stories behind them.
