Eddie Owen Presents: Leigh Nash with special guests The Mosleys
Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer) & Zac Brown's Southern Grounds Open Mic Winners, The Mosleys, to perform at Red Clay 10/11 at 7:30pm.
Leigh Bingham Nash (of Sixpence None the Richer) and acoustic duo, The Mosleys are due to take on the Red Clay Music Foundry stage as presented by Eddie Owen Presents in Beautiful Downtown Duluth next week.
Leigh Anne Bingham Nash is an American singer and songwriter born in New Braunfels, Texas. She started singing country music and learning old country songs on the guitar at the age of 12. She went on to meet guitarist and songwriter, Matt Slocum, at a church retreat in the early 1990's.
The band's self-titled album was released in 1997 and the single "Kiss Me" in 1999. In 1999 they received numerous Dove Awards, including Best Artist of the Year. The band was also nominated for a Grammy Award. A second single, "There She Goes", also hit the Billboard Hot 100.

Due to business woes, Sixpence None the Richer amicably decided to split ways, and Nash and her husband left their Nashville home to move to Los Angeles. While in L.A., Nash wrote a few of the songs that would eventually become her first solo record, Blue on Blue, which was released in August 2006. The first single, "My Idea of Heaven," was released to U.S. radio the week of July 14, 2006. She has also recorded a song "Mirrors and Smoke" with the band Jars of Clay on their album Good Monsters the same year. She also performed the song "A Place for Us" with Tyler James for the 2007 Disney film Bridge to Terabithia, written by Bryan Adams.
In 2007, Nash began a new band, Fauxliage, with Canadian band Delerium, which released a self-titled album on August 14, 2007. Nash has since rejoined Sixpence None the Richer and worked on a new EP, My Dear Machine, and the Christmas album The Dawn of Grace.

In August 2012, Nash released Lost in Transition—her sixth studio album with the band Sixpence None the Richer, and on September 18, 2015, Nash released her solo album: The State I'm In.
Married songwriting duo Rachel and Stephen Mosley stumbled onto the scene after winning an open mic competition at Zac Brown's Southern Grounds in Senoia, Georgia. The prize was studio time, and The Mosleys recorded their first EP at Zac Brown's Crow's Nest Studio in Atlanta. Since the release of Beneath the Trees and Stars in 2015, they have been busy playing festivals and stages, from the 30A Singer Songwriter Festival to the Chastain Amphitheater.
The Mosleys have quickly earned opportunities to share the stage with such talent as Leigh Nash, Liz Longley, Harpeth Rising, Air Supply, and many others. The Mosleys were recently featured artists on NPR's Folk Alley and finalists at Eddie's Attic Open Mic competition. Their new album Ordinary Time was released in late June 2017 and produced by Phil Madeira (Emmylou Harris, The Civil Wars, LeeAnn Womack), with the help of Jimmy Abegg.
On Thursday, October 11th, 2018 at 7:30 pm Eddie Owen will present Leigh Nash and The Mosleys to perform on the Red Clay Music Foundry stage. Tickets are available at the Box Office, by phone (404) 478-2749, and online: https://goo.gl/auTpk6
