The man who was extradited from New Mexico in connection with circumstances from the March 2013 death of a Duluth resident has been indicted on several charges, according to authorities.

Robert Craig Sandman, who is jailed without bond in Gwinnett, has been indicted on a charge of concealing the death of another, according to a spokesperson for the Gwinnett District Attorney's Office. The Gwinnett grand jury heard Sandman's case Wednesday (Dec. 18).

Other charges again Sandman are theft by taking (three counts), financial transaction card fraud, burglary, and criminal attempt to commit a crime.

The charges arise from the March 2013 death of Donald Singer, a Monteath Pass resident.

Sandman was extradited from New Mexico in November, after he was apprehended by authorities in Albuquerque. Duluth Police had issued warrants for theft by taking and probation violation after the Singer death, as well as issuing a nationwide lookout.

Singer's body was found in the garage of his residence. No cause of death was determined by an autopsy.

Singer's body was found wrapped in a blanket in the garage by his daughter, who called 911.

During the Duluth Police investigation, personal items belonging to Singer, including a vehicle, were missing and appeared to have been taken, police said.

Sandman originally was captured in Sandoval County, N.M., in April, but he was ordered released in July after an apparent administrative error.

No court date has been scheduled for the defendant.
