"I figure in Atlanta, I can have at least six to 10 restaurants down there probably over the next five to seven years," Degel told the Gwinnett Daily Post. "You have a lot more outdoor-indoor eating, people love to go out to eat. I’m building more affordable-style restaurants than just the high-end Uncle Jack’s."
Degel told the paper he plans a soft opening of Uncle Jack's in the second or third week of July and that it will feature prime, hand-picked cuts of beef, appetizers and shared plates, burgers and steak sandwiches, as well as a full bar featuring an all-American wine list and eight local beers.
Degel, a native of Queens, N.Y., started several successful businesses before opening his first restaurant, Hollywood & Main, in June 1990 in Flushing, Queens.
