DULUTH, GA – Update

The gas leak on Venture Drive and Pleasant Hill Road is now under control, Gwinnett Fire reports. Atlanta Gas Light was able to stop the leak at 4:16 p.m. All fire equipment has returned to service. The gas line ended up being a 2-inch feeder for one of the businesses and not an actual gas main. AGL was able to quickly cap the leak and bring the situation under control. Pleasant Hill Road was reopened at 4:29 p.m. and only one lane of Venture Drive remains closed to traffic. There were no evacuations and no injuries reported as a result of the gas leak.
