Howdy folks!

Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the Duluth Daily Digest. This is the place where you can find all of your local news and happenings for the day.

Here's the latest news:

1) Gwinnett Police are looking for suspects that have been breaking into cars on the east side of the city. The incident took place near Sweetwater Middle School. If you have any insights into who the suspects are, reach out to Atlanta Crime Stoppers. (Gwinnett Daily Post)

2) Gwinnett County Public Schools is reaching out to its constituents to be a part of their GEMS Oversight Committee. The committee meets regularly to discuss the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) standards. This committee will start meeting on October 28. (Gwinnett Daily Post)

3) The Gwinnett County Bar Association was recently recognized with six awards from the State Bar of Georgia. The County Bar Association was awarded on July 11, and received awards from both 2020 and 2021. (Gwinnett Daily Post)

4) The Gwinnett Elections Board has announced its new election supervisor. His name is Zach Manifold and he is from Ohio. He has a degree in political science. He will begin his new role in August. (Gwinnett Daily Post)

5) Some Gwinnett County voters will receive a confirmation to vote in the mail with thirty days to respond. The letter will include an envelope, paid postage, and a notice of your voter registration. If you do not send your letter back in the mail, it will not cancel your voter registration but it will put a hold on your account marking you as an inactive voter. (AJC)

2) Chicago will be performing at the Ameris Amphitheater 6:30 p.m.

3) The 1818 Club is hosting a Musical Bingo night at its location here in Duluth. Musical Bingo is complimentary, but happy hour prices still apply. 6 p.m.
