DULUTH, GA — Since Georgia's hands-free law, citations are up and accidents are down, according to Duluth Police.
Since July 2018, when the Georgia Hands-Free Law began, Duluth Police officers said they have written 534 citations for this law. Comparing accidents from when the law took place versus 2017, accident numbers have dropped 12 percent.
"The decline in reported accidents is credited to our officers and their aggressive approach to this law," Duluth officers posted on Facebook.
