It’s a Great Day to Be a Girl Scout!

The Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and The Duluth Service Unit welcomes adults and girls to be a part of the Girl Scout experience.

Do we sell cookies? YES! Through the annual Girl Scout Cookie Program our girls learn to: market and sell a product, budget and manage money, and engage and interact with the public.

But the Girl Scout Journey is not only about selling cookies. We are the premier leadership development organization for girls and as a part of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, the Duluth Service Unit is proud to be a part of the journey! The Girl Scout journey began more than 100 years ago with the original Girl Scout Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low. On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first Girl Scout troop.

The Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta serves approximately 39,000 girls and more than 18,200 adult members in 34 counties in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. The counties include: Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dekalb, Douglas, Fannin, Fayette, Floyd, Forsyth, Fulton, Gilmer, Gordon, Gwinnett, Haralson, Heard, Henry, Lamar, Meriwether, Murray, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rockdale, Spalding, Troup, Upson, Whitfield and a portion of Polk County, Tennessee.

The Duluth Service Unit (made up of 300+ girls representing the Duluth and Peachtree Ridge clusters grades K - 12) continues to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place through activities led by the girls themselves.

With the recent kick off of our exciting 2019-2020 Girl Scout year we invite adults and girls to be a part of the Girl Scout experience. The Pinewood Derby Competition, the International Bazaar and the Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance are a few of the events slated for 2020 along with other troop sponsored activities. And cookies of course!
