DULUTH, GA -- Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in identifying a shoplifting man who has stolen over $4,800 in iPhones, police said.
On March 10 the man enters the T-Mobile located at 911 Duluth Hwy in unincorporated Duluth. He appears as if he is talking on a cell phone when he enters and lingers around some iPhones on display. He removes wire cutters from his pocket and cuts the security wires on three iPhones. He then conceals the iPhones and quickly exits the store. The total value of this theft is approximately $2,850.
A shoplifting also occurred at the same location on Jan. 22 in which a man matching this same description stole two iPhones valued at $2,000. The man also produced wire cutters and cut the security wires to gain control of the iPhones. Detectives believe the man to be the same in both cases.
