A New Kind Of Schlotzsky's Coming To Gwinnett County
The first-ever Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery will open Thursday in Duluth.

DULUTH, GA — The Schlotzsky's opening Thursday in Duluth won't be just another sandwich shop.
Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery will be the first of its kind, an evolution of the Texas-based brand featuring a new look and feel, new menu items, craft beer and wine and a more full-service guest experience.
As its name implies, the new line of restaurants will have heavy ties to the sandwich chain's hometown.

"To say that Schlotzsky's is Austin-inspired would be an understatement," the company said in a news release. "We're not Austin-inspired. We are Austin."
There will be a ribbon-cutting at 9 a.m. Thursday with company executives and local officials. Doors will open to the public at 10 a.m., and the first 100 customers to buy a pack of six Cinnabon Classic rolls will win one free, small sandwich every week for an entire year.

The restaurant is located at 2260 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Suite 100, Duluth, GA 30097.
At the grand opening, officials will talk about how this prototype for a new-style Schlotzsky's was decided upon and why Duluth was selected as the first location in the U.S.
It will feature what company officials say is an innovative new restaurant design featuring reclaimed wood, feature seating, found objects and wall graphics inspired by Austin. There's also a line of sight into the kitchen so customers can watch their food being prepared.
New menu items will include sliders, street tacos and "tins," among other "Austin-spirited, handcrafted food that's never basic or boring," the news release says.
