Police Link Suspects to Series of Robberies, Shootings

Gwinnett County police have arrested two men they now believe are responsible for a series of armed robberies and shootings in the area.

Gwinnett County police believe two men arrested Dec. 26 in connection with an armed robbery in Norcross could be linked to a string of recent crimes.

Detectives believe 20-year-old Anthony Penick and 17-year-old Ezekiel Boyd, both of Buford, broke into an apartment Dec. 19 and stole three guns. One week later, the two are believed to have shot a woman at a drive-by in another apartment complex. An hour after the shooting, the two reportedly shot a man outside his apartment during an armed robbery attempt.

The victim, 35-year-old Juan Sanchez, was hospitalized and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
