Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Led To Woman's Death

Police say the victim of a hit-and-run followed the perpetrator. During the pursuit, the victim was involved in a fatal accident.

DULUTH, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying a vehicle that fled a hit-and-run crash that later led to a fatal crash, the department said in a release.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, Musha Shekhani, 23, of Lawrenceville, was stopped on Steve Reynolds Boulevard near I-85 when she was rear ended by a white, older model SUV or pickup. That car drove off and Shekhani followed.

The fleeing vehicle was going west on Steve Reynolds Boulevard and turned left onto Venture Drive, narrowly avoiding another crash. Shekhani, in pursuit, turned left as well, and was hit by an oncoming box truck.
