RE Pros, Heroes Can Attend North Atlanta Home Show Free Feb. 7
Feb. 7 is Trade Day and Hero Day when home pros, police officers, firefighters & military can attend the North Atlanta Home Show for free.

More than 170 home remodeling experts will gather together at the Infinite Energy Center Feb. 7-9, 2020 for the 23rd Annual North Atlanta Home Show. The three-day Show – the largest-ever North Atlanta Home – at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth will include home improvement experts, buyer discounts, live radio broadcasts and product demonstrations, and is presented by Marketplace Events, North America’s largest producer of consumer home shows. General admission is $8 at the Box Office or $6 in advance online at www.NorthAtlantaHomeShow.com.
Friday, Feb. 7 is both “Trade Day” and “Hero Day”. On Friday only, anyone who works in the home industry will receive free admission to the Show, simply by showing his or her business card at the Show’s main entrance. First responders, military veterans, fire fighters and police officers will also receive free admission with ID, as Marketplace Events thanks the heroes who serve. On Saturday, Feb. 8, two popular WSB-Radio shows will broadcast live from the Outdoor Oasis. The morning will begin with “The Home Fix-It Show” hosted by Dave Baker from 9 a.m. - noon. During the afternoon, Belinda Skelton will broadcast “Atlanta Living” from 1-3 p.m. live from the North Atlanta Home Show.
“February is the perfect time to start planning those spring home improvement projects,” said Mark Levine, Show manager. “Homeowners can get a jump on their spring to-do list now by meeting face-to-face with home improvement experts, gathering ideas and inspiration and making appointments, all under one roof. Attendees will want to stroll through the Outdoor Oasis created by Belgard and guest landscapers, and also try their putting skills at the 800-square-foot putting green that LDC Management Group will build at the North Atlanta Home Show. They’ll award prizes for the best putts throughout the Show, so I encourage golfers of all experience levels to take a swing. Don’t forget to bring your gardening questions and even photos to ‘Ask a Master Gardener’ at the UGA Cooperative Extension Gwinnett County booth”.

Marketplace Events is partnering with Mike Rowe, creator and host of Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs”, and his foundation, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, which awards Work Ethic Scholarships to students pursuing a career in the skilled trades. Since 2008 when Rowe launched the foundation, he has led the charge to help close America’s widening skills gap – an issue directly impacting the home improvement industry.
“Through the foundation, we are committed to supporting the local builders, remodelers, installers, repairmen and all skilled tradespeople who do the jobs that most people are unable or untrained to do,” said Rowe. “There aren’t many places left like these local home shows where homeowners can meet with their local experts, get trusted advice, talk price, look the experts in the eye, shake their hands and decide for themselves, yes, I’m good with letting this company into my home.”
